Sizing & Fit
How do I measure for waist beads or a waist chain?
Use a flexible measuring tape on bare skin around the exact area where you want your jewelry to sit. Keep your stomach relaxed and the tape level. Leave enough room for two fingers between the tape and your body, then record the measurement in inches. Choose the size range that includes your measurement and submit your exact measurement with your order. This measurement already includes comfortable fit room; do not add extra length unless the product instructions tell you to.
Can I use my pants size to order waist jewelry?
No. Clothing sizes do not give an accurate measurement for waist jewelry. Measure your body where you intend to wear the piece.
Where should waist beads sit on my body?
Placement is a personal preference. You can wear them at your natural waist, below your navel, or lower around your hips. Measure at your chosen placement because each position may require a different length.
What if my measurement falls between sizes or outside the listed range?
Contact us before ordering with your exact measurement and the name of the design. We can review the sizing options for that piece.
How do I measure for an anklet?
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your ankle where you want the anklet to sit. Measure without pulling the tape tight or adding extra room, then add ½ inch for a comfortable fit. For example, if your ankle measures 9 inches, choose a 9½-inch anklet. This provides room for movement without making the anklet unnecessarily loose.
How do I measure for a bracelet?
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your wrist where you want your bracelet to sit. Measure without pulling the tape tight or adding extra room. For a snug fit, add ½ inch to your wrist measurement. For a looser fit, add 1 inch. For example, if your wrist measures 6 inches, choose a 6½-inch bracelet for a snug fit or a 7-inch bracelet for a looser fit. Larger beads affect the fit, so please also read the beaded bracelet guidance below.
Do larger beads change how a bracelet fits?
Yes. Larger beads take up more space inside a bracelet, so a bracelet with larger beads can feel tighter than one of the same length made with smaller beads. For bracelets with beads 6mm or larger, please provide your actual wrist measurement and whether you prefer a snug or loose fit. We account for bead size when preparing your bracelet and may contact you to confirm the fit before making it.
How do I choose a necklace length?
Use a flexible measuring tape or a piece of non-stretch string to preview where you want the necklace to fall. If using string, mark your desired length and measure it against a ruler. Consider your neckline and any pendant drop. The same necklace length can sit differently on different people.
Can I measure jewelry I already own?
Yes, if it fits the way you want your new piece to fit. For a clasped chain, lay it straight without stretching it and measure from end to end, including the clasp. Beaded and stretch designs may fit differently because bead size and construction affect the fit.
What if I do not have a measuring tape?
Use non-stretch string or a narrow strip of paper. Wrap it around the area you are measuring, mark where the ends meet, and measure that length with a ruler. Follow the fit instructions for the type of jewelry you are ordering. Avoid elastic string because it can stretch and give an inaccurate measurement.
Construction & Materials
Are waist beads removable or permanently tied on?
Check the closure details in the product description. A design with a clasp can be removed and put back on. Tie-on waist beads use a different construction, so confirm the closure before purchasing.
What is the difference between gold-filled and solid gold jewelry?
Gold-filled jewelry has a layer of gold bonded to a base metal. Solid gold jewelry is a gold alloy throughout the metal component. These are different materials with different prices and care needs. Each product description identifies the materials used in that design.
Are the stones natural gemstones or crystals?
Materials vary by design. Check the product description and selected option to see whether a piece includes natural gemstones, pearls, crystals, or cubic zirconia. A color name alone does not identify the stone material.
Jewelry Care
Can I shower or swim in my jewelry?
Follow the care instructions for your specific piece. Care depends on the entire design, including its metal, gemstones, pearls, and stringing materials. Pieces with different components may have different care requirements, even when they use the same metal.
How should I store my jewelry?
Store pieces separately to reduce tangling and scratches. Fasten chain clasps before storing them. Avoid bending, pulling, or placing heavy items on delicate designs, and follow any additional care instructions supplied with your jewelry.
Orders, Adjustments & Repairs
What should I do if my jewelry does not fit or needs a repair?
Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Include clear photographs if the piece is damaged. We can review the piece and explain the available options and any applicable costs. Please contact us before sending jewelry back.
How long will my order take?
Check the processing time on the product page before ordering. Processing is the time needed to prepare your piece; shipping transit time is additional. If you need jewelry for a specific date, contact us before placing your order.
Can I return jewelry made to my measurements?
Custom-sized and personalized jewelry is subject to our Return Policy. Please review that policy before purchasing. If you need help confirming your size or understanding the policy for your chosen piece, contact us before ordering.
